Team One Wine Run Saginaw 2019 Volunteer Guide

Thank you all so much for volunteering to help out with this year's race. We could not do this without you. Here is a volunteer guide to help you with times and locations for your assignment. The full list of volunteers and assignments can be found below but changes may be made prior to race day. If you choose to show up earlier than your scheduled time, we can always find something for you to help out with! :)

Also remember: In Michigan the weather is always unpredictable so dress for the conditions. Bring umbrellas for rain or shade, dress warm (in layers) or in light and cool clothing. Be sure to get plenty of water! Thanks again and we'll see you Thursday!

If for some reason you are unable to make it Saturday, please let us know ASAP! info@tritofinish.com or (989) 205-5838. All positions are important to the safety of the participants! :)

Parking

Volunteers using the parking lot East of Huntington Event Park or the parking structure West of the park should clarify with parking staff that they are participating in Team One Wine Run to avoid a $5 parking fee.

Course Description:

The race will start on Franklin Street and will head South on the streets to Janes before turning West and heading to Water Street and entering the River Trail Pathway.  Runners/walkers will then head South along the River Trail until reaching a turnaround point near Ojibway Island and returning to Huntington Event Park along the same course from which they came.  There will be a final turn INTO Huntington Event Park before crossing the finish line through a blue arch.  Don't stop at the green start line arch spanning Franklin Street!

Please note that run/walk traffic is heading both directions on the course! Runners and walkers are asked to stay to the left of the pathway once return run traffic begins to pass heading South toward the finish line.

Those working packet pickup should arrive to Huntington Event Park no later than 3:30PM

All race course and aid station volunteers should arrive knowing their course location. We will meet near the finish line at Huntington Event Park at 5:30 to answer questions and pick up reflective vests (for those on the race course) before you will be released to your assigned positions. Please be aware that, with the exception of a few course volunteers, you will have to find your way to your location.

COURSE MARSHALS - Responsible for ensuring runners are not hit by vehicles at intersections. Be assertive and wear a reflective vest. At some locations, police vehicles will be present to assist.
